More Pink Pretzels, More For Cancer ResearchSeptember 27, 2007 - Mentor, OH - The total raised by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, OH for Susan G. Komen For The Cure, Northeast Ohio Affiliat is now over $800.
For the last three years, the franchise owned by Fred Siegel and Rick Jackson has sold pink-colored, white chocolate pretzels for $1 each. All proceeds from the sale of Pink Pretzels go to the charity.

Komen Breast Cancer FoundationSeptember 26, 2006 - Mentor, OH - Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, OH has raised over $500 through the sale of pink-colored, white chocolate pretzels for The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Northeast Ohio Affiliate.
The locally-owned franchise of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory dips pretzel sticks in pink-colored, white chocolate, wraps them in cellophane to preserve freshness and displays near the cash register to encourage sales.
Pink pretzels sell for $1.00 apiece with all proceeds and profits going to the Northeast Ohio nonprofit organization. Sophie Sureau, Executive Director, says, "The over $500 raised will pay for about 6-7 mammograms for women unable to afford this potentially life-saving test.”

Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Northeast Ohio Affiliate says, "We are pleased to count on your contribution to help us fulfill our mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease. The money raised in Northeast Ohio helps to find a cure through our national grants research program and up to 75% of the net proceeds raised in Northeast Ohio stays here in our community to help educate, screen and treat women with breast cancer."
